Primary Splenic Diffuse Large B-cell Lymphoma: An Atypical Presentation

Primary splenic diffuse large B-cell lymphoma (PS-DLBCL) is an extremely rare type of non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. It typically presents with abdominal pain and a rapidly enlarging mass, often accompanied by B symptoms. Here, we present presentation PS-DLBCL in 54-year-old woman who experienced splenomegaly. A CT scan her abdomen revealed enlarged spleen measuring 12 x 15 14 cm hypodense lesion. Confirmation was obtained through core biopsy. subsequent positron emission tomography showed hypermetabolic centrally necrotic infiltrative mass without any evidence pathology other parts the body. The patient's condition classified as stage I PS-DLBCL, she underwent treatment R-CHOP (rituximab, cyclophosphamide, doxorubicin, vincristine, prednisone) chemotherapy for four cycles. This case report highlights unique exclusive involvement discusses potential therapeutic role radiation therapy need splenectomy.
